“
Allah has certainly preferred you
over us all. We, on the other hand,
have been guilty of doing evil
.”
The brothers freely confessed their
wrongdoing. They feared that
Nabi
Yusuf [a] might want to punish
them, but, like a true Prophet of
Allah, he forgave them all and treat-
ed them most kindly.
“
No one shall reproach you today.
May Allah forgive you, for He is the
most Merciful of all,
”
Nabi
Yusuf [a]
said.
The brothers were amazed at
Yusuf’s [a] kindness and compas-
sion. They were very relieved and
grateful indeed.
This was the lesson
Nabi
Yusuf [a]
was sent to teach people, the mes-
sage of forgiveness and generosity.
Allah is Most Forgiving and Most
