crabs , for instance , use l i ve weapons to protect

There i s a type of vegetat ion that ex i sts at the
bot tom of the ocean . The hermi t s co l l ec t these
plants and put them on top of the i r she l l s . The
reason for thi s i s that these plants have thorns
that are pa i nfu l to the touch . In th i s way , the
hermits protect themselves from their predators.
Do not forget that hermi t crabs could not have
thought of such a bri l l iant plan al l on their own.
