One morning the baker awoke with
the memory of a dream he had the
night before. He had dreamt that he
was carrying three baskets of bread
on his head, one on top of the other,
and that birds were eating from
them.
“
It’s strange
”, said the butler. “
I too
had an unusual dream last night in
which I saw myself walking through
the palace gardens carrying an
empty goblet on a tray. There I
squeezed three bunches of grapes
and collected its juice in the goblet.
Then I took the goblet of grape juice
to the king and he drank it
”.
