There are also certain acts that are
Makruh
when performing
wudu’
and
others that are are
Naqid
.
Let us now discuss each catagory
individually.
THE FOUR
FARA’ID
OF
WUDU’
There are four
Fard
acts in
wudu’.
If
any single one is omitted the
wudu’
will not be valid. They are:
1) Washing the face from the fore-
head to the lower portion of the
chin and from the lobe of one
ear to the lobe of the other. This
must be done at least once
(Washing thrice is
Sunnah
).
2) Washing both arms, including
the elbows, once.
3) Wiping at least a quarter of the
head with wet hands once. The
Arabic word for this act is
masah.
4) Washing both feet, including the
ankles, once.
