7. THE REVOLUTION OF THE
PROPHET
It is the will of God that His religion should reign
supreme on earth. He wishes it to enjoy an
intellectual dominance over other systems of
thought. But for this to happen, certain conditions
must prevail. The coming of the Prophet
Muhammad was the culmination of a lengthy
process, extending over thousands of years, during
which time the ground was fully prepared for his
work. Conditions were created which would
facilitate the accomplishment of his mission. What
the Prophet had to do was understand these
conditions, and make wise use of them. This he did,
giving Islam a position of intellectual ascendancy in
the world.
Now, once again, a process has been continuing
over the last one thousand years, in which God has
created conditions conducive to Islamic revival. If
they are exploited to the full, Islam can once again
come to dominate world thought, just as it did in
the past.
