and his Companions
.”
Then he repeated for the last time,
the words he had first said to Abu
Bakr [r] so many years before,
when he was just a slave, the words
which he had repeated so often
since then: “
I bear witness that
there is no god but Allah, and I bear
witness that Muhammad is the
Messenger of Allah
.”
Bilal [r] then closed his eyes, his
head fell to his chest and he
breathed his last breath.
