Dr.
Nishikant
Chattopadhyaye
was
principal of Hyderabad College and
Professor of History at the Maharaja College,
Mysore. He was born in mid-nineteenth
century in Bengal and died in the first
quarter of the 20th century in Hyderabad.
His Muslim name after conversion was
Mohd Azizuddin.
It is a trite saying, that the present can be fully
grasped and appreciated only by a due reference to
the past. In order, therefore, to set before you
clearly the reasons that have induced me to accept
Islam in preference to the other great religions of
the world, it is necessary that I should give you a
