for you, as it was pre-
scribed for those who
came before you,
that you may learn
piety.”
Hadith
Our beloved Prophet
Muhammad

said:
“Islam is built on five
things: the Testimony
that there is no god
except Allah and that
Muhammad is the
Messenger of Allah,
the establishment of
the Salah, the pay-
ment of the Zakah,
the Fast of Ramadan,
and the Pilgrimage to
the Sacred House.”
“Every good action
done by man shall be
multiplied by tenfold
up to seven hundred
fold. Allah, Who is
Great and Glorious,
says, ‘This is apart
from fasting, which is
for Me, and the
reward for which I will
supply; for a man
who renounces his
food and his desire
for My sake. A faster
has two joys, one
when he breaks his
fast, and the other
when he meets his
Lord. The odour of a
fasting man’s mouth
is sweeter to Allah
than that of musk.
Fasting, moreover, is
a form of protection’.”

doors of Paradise are closed.

will have all his sins forgiven.

Fasting brings us closer to
Allah.
It cleanses our hearts, minds
and bodies of all filth and evil.
